I cannot believe it has been almost a month since I last wrote!! And in that last month, so much has happened. I feel like I’ve experienced every emoji at some point:
Zzz Exhausted from picking up last minute shifts to help out my co-workers and create a financial buffer.
Frustrated when things happen and that financial buffer is gone by some unforeseen event.
You Overwhelmed as the days pass and I still need to pack for my journey (whatever that means), move out of my apartment, say final goodbyes and attempt to tie up loose ends here at home.
Sad that I’m done (currently) working the best job in the world and working with some amazing EMTs/Medics, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement, Dispatchers, Nurses and doctors. It has been an amazing journey thus far and I’m thankful to have some great experiences!
Heart-broken that I will be away from family–brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews–especially the two new nieces that recently joined the family, and another one on the way. I haven’t missed much of their lives thus far, and it is sad that I will miss the first year of these precious lives.
Yet, in all these feelings, God has showed me the blessings amidst it!
The wonder of what He will acomplist this year, in the lives abroad and the lives here at home.
The excitement of a new adventure with an expectation of good things to happen.
Confidence to know that He will take of the details and worries, no matter how big or small.
:- Speechlessness as I’ve watched your prayers become realities and as you’ve opened your hearts and have donated financially to make this trip possible. I have been blown away by the generosity shown and I trust that God will provide the rest, even when there seems to be no way–even when the “buffer” seems to be lost.
I feel honored that I have been chosen to step outside my comfort zone, to reach to the ends of the earth and make a difference! While I may not feel ready at the moment, I have been called for such a time as this, and “all things will work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose ” Romans 8:28
