In our transition between Guatemala and Honduras, our squad gathered together for a few days in Antigua, Guatemala to encourage leadership development within each other.  Here is what it looked like:

For the first time in a month, we got real beds!!!  Let me tell you, my back was in heaven!! Thankfully, my camp pad is comfortable, but it doesn’t beat a mattress! Our squad filled an international hostel for 4 days.

Each night, we worshiped and prayed together as a squad.

We woke up at 5 am to hike up to cross on the hill, which overlooks Antigua.  There, we watched the sunrise, had some quiet time, and did yoga!  What a way to spend the morning!!

With the help of a few others, I led two separate activities:  ATL throughout Antigua (we are led by the Lord to go out and pray for specific people/events, etc).  I also lead a morning devotional about listening to the Lord and putting on the armor of God (Eph 6:10-18)

We spent a few hours in the Square blowing bubbles, giving hugs and praying for people!  It rained, but people still came through!

Went back to the cross on the hill for squad worship!  Many people sang with us. We met a missions team from Shoreline Community Church in Monterey, CA. They joined into our worship and we prayed together on the hill!

All the girls did Beauty for Ashes together, which is a program that allows the Lord to redeem women from painful life events; it replaces their “ashes” with beauty!  This is a program that we will do for the communities as we continue throughout this race.

Due to the flooding from the hurricane, we were stuck in Antigua for another day!  We played “Where’s Abbie?”–Abbie hid somewhere in Antigua and gave clues every 10 minutes.  I’m proud to say that team Soul Spark found her first!!!

With the extra day, we wandered throughout Antigua and enjoyed a day of rest!!  It was a great way to end All-Squad month to say goodbye to all the other teams before we dispersed for new ministries in Honduras.
