Growing up most kids think they are going to be doctors, firefighters and policemen living the American Dream. For 19 years, I believed that was going to be my life as well. But God had different plans for me. I didn’t discover them until I was flying home from Guatemala silently crying out to God asking what he wanted for my life. His answer was, “Missions.” My life changed from that point on. After a year at Victory Bible College studying Missions and Outreach, I am ready to take that step further….like WAY further. The World Race!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.
-Jeremiah 29:11-13
If you have never heard about the World Race and what this journey is about, I would love to share this with you! God is doing some amazing things in my life including participating in this 11 Country-11 Month Mission Trip. Through Adventures in Missions, the World Race has established contacts in many countries including long- term missionaries and community members looking to make a difference. This partnership is community-based and the main focus is spreading the gospel of Jesus while creating positive change. My Journey will start in September 2015. Our Squad of 40-50 racers will be going on Route 5 together and splitting further once we arrive in country into teams of 7-8 people. This team will become like family to me as we live, lead and minister together.
The countries my Squad will be heading to are:
September 2015 Route 5:
Uganda
Rwanda
Ethiopia
India
Nepal
Malaysia
Thailand
Cambodia
Guatemala
Honduras
Nicaragua

As excited as I am to embark on this God-driven adventure, I know it cannot happen alone. As my Squad and I continue to prepare, we would love to have you be a part of it. Here are a number of different ways to join in my journey:
1) Prayer– Every World Racer is struggling with leaving family and friends behind for 11 months. Please pray that God will give us a sense of comfort and peace as we do this. Ask God to equip each and every one of us spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and financially as this journey begins. As we step out in obedience to the calling of God, we want to be able to share the Glory without being held back by personal needs.
2) Follow Me: There will be many stories to share, and believe me…they get addicting to read! I would love to share my journey with as many people as possible, and to put it as Jesus said “Tell the World.” Please help me get in contact with people you may know who would like to hear my story. Feel free to follow my page here, add me on Instagram and Facebook, as you invest into my life, I would love to invest in yours!
3) Financially- For me to leave fully funded in September, I will need to raise $16,267. It’s a big goal, but I believe that wherever God leads me he will provide. This amount includes all of the field expenses of my 11-month trip. There are 2 ways to support me, online and by Check, both are tax deductible through Adventures in Missions. If you would like to support me by writing a check, please make it out to “Adventures in Missions” and on the memo line write “ CoutureJessica”, you may then mail it to this address below.

“Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth.”
-Isaiah 42:1-4
Thank you so much for checking out my blog, I will be posting more leading up to my launch and also while I am on the field. Don’t forget to follow me and come back and visit my page!
