He counts the stars and knows each of them by name. Our Lord is great and powerful. There is no limit to what he knows.
Psalm 147:4-5
We serve a God that is so much bigger than we can imagine. The One who created the universe and measured out the foundation of the Earth is the one who holds our hearts! He knows all things and is in complete control.
When I was praying this morning, I realized this truth in a new way. Although we run through the day, trying to make it through and put out whatever fires come our way, nothing is ever a surprise to God. He never has to scramble to make things work. He never has to wonder how things will turn out. And He never feels anxious in season of waiting.
I so want to remember and dwell on this truth. The things in my life, and in yours, that stress me out and scare me are not a surprise to God. When something seems too big for me to handle, I hear Him calling. He calls me to return, to rest, and to have faith that He is in control. To remember that He who created all things desperately loves me. He cares for me. And, He is trustworthy and faithful.
I know that there will be many challenges on the World Race. And I know that God is already there, in the midst of them all. He is lovingly calling me to trust Him. And, he is calling you to trust Him too.
