So, this is my song from India!  I’ve been praying that the Lord would give me a new worship song in each country while I’m on the World Race.  In August, I was doing ministry in south India.  India is a heavily Hindu nation.  There are temples all around the city.  And while we were there, there was a festival to the Hindu god Ganesh.  The city was  esentially shut down because of this huge festival.  As I drove around, I thought back to the Old Testament when the people had idols and set up the high places to worship them.  Kings reigned over Israel and Judah; some took down the high places.   But, others left them up or worshiped the idols as well.  As I looked around, I saw the modern day high places that have such a grip on India.  But, we know that Jesus is the King.  He has already won victory over idols, demons, and Satan.  Nothing can or will stand against his power.

I call this song “Glorified” because the Lord can be glorified, even in a place of idolatry.  His power is what holds all things together and all people are created with a desire to know Him.  This song is a plea for our great and righteous Lord to rush in and make Himself known in an even greater way to the Indian people.  Please pray that their eyes and ears would be opened to His love and His voice!!

I chose the cover photo of the rainbow for this song.  Once, after a particularly hard few days in India, I went out onto the roof and saw this perfect double rainbow.  I felt the Lord remind me, “Hey, remember I don’t forget things.  Ever promise I have made is true.  They day is isn’t over yet.”  I hope you enjoy!

Seated high upon your throne

no shadow of turning, Father of Lights

You never take your eyes off your own

Flow onto us, O River of Life

Flow onto us, O River of Life

Jesus High and Holy King

Righteous One, yet the closest friend

Forgiveness and Mercy and are found in you

Your blood cleanses the depths of our sin

Your blood cleanses the depths of our sin

King of Heaven, King of Earth

None compare to your great worth

God who heals,  God who saves

The one who beat death and grave

Immanuel, the Great I Am

Forever safe inside your hand

All power and praise to you forever, Lord

Be glorified here

Spirit come and pour yourself out,

so everyone will know that You are God

We exalt your name above all else

Our victory is in your blood

Come and fill this place,

Come and fill the place,

We’ll fill it up with praise to you only, only

Come and fill this place, we’ll fill it up with praise

We’ll fill it up with praise to you only
