Okay, so if you know me, you know I like lists. I’m an organizer and list-maker to the core. It’s just how I can process things, get things done, feel peace, etc. Lists are wonderful. And so, for this very short blog post, I wanted to make a list of all the lists I’ve made on the World Race so far. Because I’m finding that I HAVE to document SO MANY THINGS this year because I’m simply learning and growing and experiencing so much that I will easily forget it all if I’m not careful. I’ve also been journaling every day on the Race in addition to my lists. I’m way too detailed sometimes, but I love it!

Anyway, here are the lists I’ve made so far for the last 6 months:

  • Things I am interested in doing post-World Race
  • Things we Googled
  • Things I’m learning about myself
  • Movies I’ve watched
  • What we did for Adventure Days
  • Ways I feel loved
  • Times I think God has spoken to me
  • Types of transportation I’ve taken
  • Things God has been teaching me or topics that have come up
  • Funny quotes from teammates
  • Words or phrases that are popular on the squad/World Race lingo
  • Things to start doing at home
  • Kids games
  • Food I’ve eaten
  • Things I’m really glad I did before coming on the Race (for future Racers ya know!)
  • Struggles in each country
  • Kids songs
  • More to-do lists than I can count
  • Books to read
  • Thoughts on Africa in general
  • Card games I know
  • Team time ideas
  • People I’ve met
  • Things I dropped that I brought from home
  • Things I’m really glad I packed/things I regret packing
  • Books I’ve read

I’m not quite sure what you’re thinking at this point. Either that I’m super crazy and weird for making so many lists or actually kind of cool. Not sure. But I am who I am 🙂

Regardless of your thoughts, my challenge to you is to think of something in your life that maybe needs a list. You could make a list of things you are thankful for, ways God has grown you and lessons he’s taught you, or maybe just a grocery list! I think lists are really neat ways to remind ourselves of things, both serious and non-serious things in life. So have fun and go make a list! Or let me know if there’s another list I should add….always open to suggestions!

**Right now, we are having debrief in Bali, Indonesia and will fly to the Philippines on June 27. Next month will be my first official month with a team as a squad leader, so please pray for me to keep learning how to love people as Jesus would and that God would just give me peace and wisdom going into this next season. Please also pray for the ministries our teams will be working with because SURPRISE! We will have ministry hosts next month after three months of doing Ask the Lord (ATL) where we did not have hosts!
