Hi friends!!
Just wanting to give a quick update from the field! Today most of A Squad went to Tegucigalpa, so me and several others are enjoying a quiet, slow-paced, relaxing day.
God has been doing so much in the last few weeks. It’s hard to know what to say with limited internet access and time, so I think I will share some verses that have been a challenge and encouragement to me over the last few weeks.
Behold, You delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Psalm 51:6
I love that God knows my secret heart…and that I don’t have to explain it or hide things from Him. He works in the deepness…He refuses to stay close to the surface. And He actually longs to convey truth to us and share His wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously, to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
God has introduced many new ideas, beliefs, truths, and experiences into my life over the last two weeks specifically…it can be overwhelming. But I am so thankful He doesn’t leave us to fend for ourselves when we don’t know what to think. He is more than happy to help guide us into newer understanding.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17
The Holy Spirit has always been working, but I have seen Him moving spiritually more in the last two weeks. I was humbled to witness a healing, as well as experience Him in more personal, tangible ways. He is patient. He is gentle in might. He is good.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Striving doesn’t have to be a way of life. There is freedom in knowing that you are safe and secure in God’s love. You don’t have to pretend with Him. He knows. And He offers something better.
A Squad is doing ministry in Talanga, Honduras this month. While this country is beautiful, there are many needs, and a lot of spiritual darkness and pain. Sometimes it’s hard to see, hard to hear, and hard to understand. We have been challenged many times by our contact to really believe what God says is true and then stand and live in that belief—even in the midst of darkness. I pray we can be the hands and feet of Christ’s truth to Talanga and the various other little towns/villages nearby.
Thanks so much for your support and prayers!! There will be a more in-depth update later.
‘Til next time!!
