The last few weeks feel like they have come and gone in a blur…
Christmas…New Years….
and suddenly I’m packing my bags, eating my mom’s yummy food, sleeping in my bed… for the last times…
i’m saying good-bye to friends and family who have been a HUGE part of my life…blessings I’ve relied on since day one…
people have asked me how I’m doing…how I feel…if I’m ready to go…
Truthfully, I don’t know.
There is a song that has become special for me during this journey…one of my squad mates shared it with the group over our facebook page, and my heart connected with it.
I share it with you as a prayer for my squad and for you.
Called Me Higher (by Sons and Daughters)
I could just sit
I could just sit and wait for all Your goodness
Hope to feel Your presence
And I could just stay
I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel You
Hope to feel something again
And I could hold on
I could hold on to who I am and never let You
Change me from the inside
And I could be safe
I could be safe here in Your arms and never leave home
Never let these walls down
But You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord
You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You lead me Lord
Where You lead me
Where You lead me Lord
And I could hold on
I could hold on to who I am and never let You
Change me from the inside
And I could be safe
I could be safe here in Your arms and never leave home
Never let these walls down
But You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord
You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You lead me Lord
Where You lead me
And I will be Yours, oh
I will be Yours for all my life
So let Your mercy light the path before me
Cause You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord
Where You lead me Lord…
Bottom line is this: God called me on this journey. So I’m going…
He’ll take care of the rest. π
I pray this song stirs in your heart a desire to know God in deeper ways. He really does longs to be known by you.

So I leave for Atlanta, GA tomorrow morning and then A Squad heads out for Guatemala on January 9.
Sometimes it’s hard to remember prayer requests people have given, so to help you out, I created this acronym. π
Surrendered heart: I desire to be open to what God has-even if I have to struggle to get there.
Attitude/Intention: to learn to live intentionally and with an attitude that brings glory to Abba Father.
Flexibility: I can tend to get stuck on my plans…and my plans are not always World Race plans…or God’s plans. π
Eternal Vision: remembering the reason for this journey in the first place.
And of course SAFE-ty is important for me and our squad, as well. π
There you have it!
Thanks to all for your prayers, cards, gifts…you are very much part of this journey, and I thank you.
Love to all! π
Now unto Him who is able to do above and beyond all we ask or think..to Him be glory and honor and power forever! Ephesians 3:20
