… Well I have just been in writer’s block land for a hot minute since being back from the Race … My life has been a blend of doing nothing boredom and staying so busy and being distracted. So for the month of August, I have decided my word is going to be “balance.”

Anyways to the point of this blog:

Have you ever heard that the best way to help yourself is to help someone else? Okay, I don’t actually know if that’s a real saying, but it makes sense. The whole thought just came to me as I started thinking back on Project Searchlight (the alumni conference … if you’re an alumni, you should seriously GO, it will wreck you in such an amazing way!). While at Searchlight we talk about our dreams and stuff and one of the big things they tell us when it comes to our dream is “serve someone else’s dream first.”

What does it look like to serve someone else’s dream? Well, yes you could go to someone else’s orphanage before you start your own or go to someone else’s house of prayer before developing your own. But how does that look on a smaller scale? How does that look today? tomorrow?

So to everyone out there who is reading this blog: friends/family, random blog reader, future world racers, future future world racers, alumni, etc … How can I serve your dream?

I would love to be available to e-mail with you and answer any questions you may have (about the Race or anything really).

I would love to pray for you and give you an encouraging word.

I would love to speak life into whatever situation you may find yourself in right now.

And hey, if you’re near Winston Salem, NC … I would love to meet up and just get to know more about you and your heart.

All you have to do is “Message Me” through here, I am on the internet way more than I care to admit these days, and I would love to use more of my down time talking to you and just meeting you where you are at. I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the screen just wishing I could message that person, but always kind of worried that I might sound silly or just be pestering them … but seriously, this is your open invitation to have a guaranteed e-mail back about anything! No catch, I’m just so thankful for the people who have spoken life into me and who have helped me get to where I am today and now I am ready to come out of my post-Race funk and really take everything I have gained to support you wherever you are in life right now. Sound fair enough?

So READY. SET. GO.

… and feel free to share this blog with anyone who you think could benefit from having a listening ear. Sure I can talk all day, but if you just want someone to listen to where you are at … I would be honored to do that as well.

For anyone not affiliated with the World Race, it is totally normal or close enough to normal to open up to perfect strangers in the World Race community. It is culture built on honoring one another, trusting one another, and building one another up … so that is all I would like to do right now. =)

PS: I have a new blog that I will be transitioning to over the next couple of months, you can check it out at:

… just be warned it’s not very active yet, haha.
… but you can bookmark it!
