… well, then. This is a support update that is kind of baffling to me. I guess I expected this whole, “Oh man I thought I had this much but really I have THIS much,” sort of story … you know where God multiplies everything … you remember, the fish and the loaves.
So anyways, I guess I haven’t been looking at my numbers too much and just keep telling everyone, “I’m just under $6,000.” Well I am under $6,000, but I have lost a monthly supporter and even though I have had a few recent donations, my amount of support has still dropped since last month. Last month I had $5,772.92 with donations and pledges, while this month I have $5,215.29 … which puts me with $557.63 less than I had before camp.
To be honest, this is kind of concerning to me, but I have to admit, I have been telling myself I can receive the finances for this trip, noooo problem, it’s just going to happen … but I really haven’t been believing that line completely. I have been hoping, yes. But have I been truly, honestly claiming it in Jesus name? No. Maybe it is this mental block I have that says, $14,800 is a large amount of money! Maybe I’ve let that little voice get in my head from when someone said, “are you sure you’re supposed to be doing this in this economy?” Doubt is an awful big lie from the devil, and I don’t appreciate it.
The truth is spoken in John 15:7 when Jesus says,
“If you remain in me and follow my teachings,
you can ask anything you want,
and it will be given to you.”
I have to believe with everything in me that I will be fully funded prior to launch! However, I definitely need to be at $6,000 by July 17th in order to launch with my Squad on August 2nd!
I know without a doubt that I have been called to this trip, I know without a doubt that the Lord already knows how the funding will come in and who He will use to bless my support account. *UPDATE: After posting this yesterday, I was blessed to find out last night that I have a couple donating whatever it takes to get me to $6,000 on July 10th (a week before my next deadline)… so with that being said I can now say I HAVE ENOUGH TO LAUNCH … but please help me to reach my faith goal of fully funded before August 2nd ($14,800) … Support raising is difficult from home and especially difficult on the field, please help me to have my full focus on ministry and not having to worry about funding once I’m on the field.
