Hey, short and sweet and to the point. I’m still abroad so I kind of broke my internet fast a little early, but just wanted to ask everyone to cover Y Squads travel back home in prayer. It has already been an eventful last day.
On the way to the metro this morning to chill at Starbucks, I missed the last step and took a tumble … ended up badly spraining my ankle and going in and out of feeling like I was going to black out, I didn’t really … thank God. I then proceeded to get carried away on a stretcher thanks to the paramedics and my amazing squadmate, Stephen Sloan who was such a big help when everything happened. I then proceeded to take an ambulance ride with Billy Wark, awesome other brother in Christ who helped me through the whole hospital process, as well as the support from Dre and Kevin, 2 of our squad leaders. I had to get an IV and have an x-ray done. They said no fracture, just sprain so thankful for that diagnosis. Also they made mention of possible flying complications but I told them I was going home so now with pain meds, blood thinner shots, crutches, and a wrap for my ankle … I’m coming home.
I will be going via taxi rather than public straight to the airport to join my squad for our final night before flying into JFK tomorrow … I am so thankful for my amazing family of Y Squad who have been with me, prayed for me, and helped me through the chaos of these last eleven months and especially this last day. Please keep praying for complete healing in my ankle and that the rest of travel can go smoothly through all the plane changes and layovers that stand between me and Charlotte, NC tomorrow night at 11pm.
… but guess what? I’m coming home!!!!!
