No, that’s not some cryptic message, but in case you missed it, it is now OFFICIALLY 2011!
In 2011 my whole life is changing … 7 Months is the amount of time I have left here in the United States before I leave for 11 Months to travel the world, serving as a missionary.
In my first blog of 2011 I want to share 7 Things I Have Never Done, but will be doing and 11 Reasons I Need To Leave.
7 Things I Have Never Done:
7. I have never used a Squatty Potty!
6. I have never worn a hiking backpack, let alone packed one for 11 Months!
5. I have never eaten more than one tiny bite of fish (to determine I indeed did not like it)!
4. I have never spent Christmas in another country!
3. I have never gotten AT LEAST 7 Vaccinations (how fitting)!
2. I have never tried to raise $14,800!
1. I have NEVER boarded a plane for Kenya!
11 Reasons I Need To Leave:
11. I need to be humbled, and become more thankful for every way that God has blessed me.
10. I need to learn more about the woman God has called me to be.
9. I have been given this opportunity and I don’t need to let fear control my life.
8. I need to quit letting my life pass by, I need to do more than wishing I could make a difference, and actually make a difference.
7. I need to love on the unloved and uncared for in Eastern Europe.
6. I need to provide hope to the women and children stuck in Human Trafficking in Asia.
5. I need to help those who can’t help themselves; the poor, starving, and orphaned in Africa.
4. I need to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who may have never heard it before.
3. I need to learn to trust God more.
2. I need to be aware of the issues outside of my cozy little bubble of comfort, and do something about them.
1. God has called me to Go and Serve!
