So as the April 1st deadline of $11,000 is right around the corner. I have been starting to fret, and become stressed out about this over the weekend. Because I still need $2,500 more to reach the deadline. I know that it is completely in The Lord’s hands, but I struggle with the fact that I have no control over this situation. I cannot do this on my own, and to be honest that scares me. So I’m praying to God, and asking Him to help me to continue to release this fear of lacking control of the situation over to Him. So I get e-mailed daily devotions from Joseph Prince ministries. And this is what they said:
Be Free From Lack
Luke 12:32 AMP “Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom!”
Do you believe that our God is a BIG God of abundance and inexhaustible supply? He is the Possessor of heaven and earth. He is not El Cheapo. He is El Shaddai – the Almighty, all-sufficient and all-nourishing one! And in Christ, the abundance of God’s wisdom, favor, ability, strength and creativity that you need for a successful family, career and ministry, are yours to experience and enjoy.
I want to challenge you to break out of a mentality of lack by choosing to fix your eyes on an abundant God, who has put His unlimited resources at your disposal because you are His beloved child.
What is your lack today? Do you need a job? Do you need more time? Or do you just feel overwhelmed by the demands of family and work? Instead of seeing the lack, start seeing a BIG God providing for you out of His abundance, a job you’ll love, wisdom to manage your time and His shalom-peace at work and at home. Come boldly to Him today for all your needs and see His supply swallow up every lack!
Trust Completely In Jesus
1 Timothy 6:17 NLT “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”
The Bible tells us clearly not to put our trust in money. Our eyes should never be on money and money should never be our goal.
It is unwise to put your trust in uncertain riches. Rather, turn your eyes upon and put your trust completely in the person of Jesus. Don’t make the mistake of pursuing the provision and missing the Provider. The Word declares that it is the Lord who gives and provides us all that we need for our enjoyment.
Beloved, when you have Jesus, you have everything. You have peace, righteousness, forgiveness, wisdom, health, power, provision, favor and every blessing. Now, this is true prosperity and good success. So anchor yourself on Him and not on material things, and enjoy the security and unshakable peace that is found only in Jesus!
These devotions could not be more appropriate and spot on for me in this time! I’m telling you, God knows exactly what we need, and where we need to be encouraged. So as I’m putting my trust fully in Him to supply all of my needs; I’m praising Him for the provision of my next deadline!
And I am asking you to partner with me in the continuation of this missions trip. Without you, I would not be in Africa right now, and without you I cannot continue to be here.
So I’m asking you to please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount! Anything and everything helps. I want to thank you so much for your support so far, and for the support to come! I know that God will bless you abundantly for sowing into Kingdom. Love you all!
Jessica
