3.5 months until…LAUNCH! What is launch, you may ask? Well launch is where we…uh…launch. See, when that day comes around (won't know the specific day until after Training Camp), we will fly, bus, take a train, or walk (only if you live extremely close) to the location specified by The World Race administration. We will all gather to that location, spend a couple days together and then head out to our first country, which for me is South Africa.
So, now that we've covered what launch is, let me remind some of you what all is going on, or for those of you who are new here (checking out my blogs and all), clue you in on what's happening.
I am leaving in January, Lord willing for 11 months trek around our world to bring the love of Jesus and to serve everyone I come in contact with. This may be through scrubbing toilets, rocking babies in orphanages, or teaching English. The opportunities are endless.
I want to share a bit of my vision…a bit of my journey and where I am going. First of all, I love Jesus…because if I didn't there is NO way on the planet I would EVER give up my stuff and my life here in the US to go overseas to places where there are huge spiders, mosquito's, disease, and hurting people. Yes…I love helping those who are hurting, but 11 months…while living with people CONSTANTLY? No…not unless of course, I love Jesus…and I do… 🙂
Secondly, my goal in life is to honor Christ in ALL that I do. I want HIM and HIM ALONE to be the center focus of every breath I breathe and every step I take.
Thirdly, I see myself spending a lot of time in ministry. I am learning what my gifts are and how to operate in them. I know God has called me to the nations. I also know that America is a nation, and I will spend some time here in the US. God has not made the rest clear. As for now, I know what is before me and that is this 11 month journey God has called me to participate in.
With this being said, I am approaching my first deadline of $3,500. I'm currently at $1,600. I know God will provide because when He say's go, He makes a way.
I have made a commitment to blog 2 times a week. My goal (things could change if something different is on my heart that particular time) is to blog 1 time a week on practical updates because for some of you, this is your main way of receiving updates. The other time each week, I will blog on what God has been speaking to me…how He is moving and what is going on.
I love you all, and I thank God for each of you. Every prayer and every penny is going literally an investment in to the nations. I really appreciate everything and pray that God sends 100 fold in to each of your lives for this seed you've sown…financially and spiritually.
