A fellow racer just started a story with, “When I was ice climbing in Iceland…”
These are the types of people who I have been camping, eating sardine soup, and learning about the power of the Holy Spirit with this week in White, GA, for training camp. Each day was themed with a different country and fully equipped with meals reflecting the culture. I think I’m going to have to start liking hard-boiled eggs and fish soup?(The fish soup was for breakfast…) There are literally people from all over the US here….plus a few from Canada and Ireland, eh? I’m sitting in the open-air pavilion feeling the ridiculously awesome breeze flow throw this place…finally getting a chance to chill out! This week has honestly felt like an eternity; not in a bad way, just in the sense that we have done SO MUCH in the past few days. Like SO much. I’ll have to tell you face-to-face about the incredible array of people I have met. Everyone from a Florida-born whale watcher to a California nanny. I cannot tell you how passionate these people are about prayer. Over the past few months, the Lord has been impressing on my heart that I need to be praying over my family and friends. This team is truly teaching me the importance of prayer and how we need to be on our faces before the Lord, going BOLDLY before the throne. Its a really powerful lesson to learn.
