Ok, I know it had been forever, and for that I apologize. I work with Operation Christmas Child, and needless to say, work has gotten pretty crazy! AND everyone of my friends (a little exaggeration, but not really) decided to have a fall wedding. But, enough excuses, I’m here and ready to blog! whatever that means….

Support raising is coming along, a little slow, but it is definitely coming. God has been opening so many doors and leading me to meet incredibly generous and giving people. I am trying to plan a benefit concert/open mic night in Athens, GA, to raise money, but have been reluctant to find a venue that wants to give up its space for a night just for individual support…but we will see.

I could not be more excited that Christmas is coming! Cheesy as it is, this is my MOST favorite time of the year and so far it has been wonderful. I’m really trying to spend a lot of quality time with my friends and family since next year we will all be in some far off lands for Christmas! Which makes me really excited as well. I love experiencing th holidays in other cultures.

I know I haven’t been commenting much on the Mark blogs, but I have been reading. I think I’m a little behind… last night I read Mark 12. I’ve loved reading y’all’s comments and learning again who Jesus really is. It is crazy to me how His miracles are portrayed in Mark. Its like, ‘The blind man had faith, and because of that he could see’. I mean, what?? That is just so crazy to me how Jesus worked miracles in the Biblical days. It seemed so natural. (Well, it was, He is God) Like, “The man was tired, so Jesus bought him a starbucks”. That simple. Jesus performed these unfathomable miralces in merely seconds because He relied on God’s power and the people trusted Him. Reading Mark again has given me so much strenght and made me realize that those kind of miracles are still possible today. God is preparing us for an incredible journey, and He is using this time to build up some rock solid faith in us, and that gets me excited. It’s really scary to think of raising $14,300 and spending 11 months in 11 different countries, but it doesn’t seem as impossible when we think about the God we serve and the possibilities through Him. Oh wait, they are endless. I love that about our God. He is infinite in His wisdom and the possibilites are endless through Him.

Until next time my friends! 🙂
