hey hey…

i just found out the long post i thought i “sent” this morning…didn’t really post.  boo.  ok…take two…

so.  the past couple days have been truly incredible.  AIM has sent many different speakers down to Matamoros to help guide us a bit.  or maybe a lot πŸ™‚  Yesterday, Tim Cambell spoke to us on safety.  yes, grandpa…SAFETY πŸ™‚  He is a criminal justice coordinator or trainer or something like that.  He has worked on a team to protect 50 cent and also for the gov’t in many aspects.  It was very good for me because I am maybe a bit naive and too trusting πŸ™‚  BUT my team balances me out very well and child locks my windows when the random guys in the street start washing them for money.  πŸ™‚

thursday night we had another church service for people in the area and villages.  as i was sitting in the meeting room talking to a couple people…one of the girls walks in holding my little Eva!!  this beautiful little girl in a pink shirt gives me the best hug and i took her into my room and got some fingernail polish.  i painted her fingernails…then washed her feet…and painted her toenails.  i really dont think i have ever seen a little girls face light up as much as i did that moment.  it was such a blessing and also a reminder to me about how God is even in the little things.  that little girl touched the innermost part of my heart and its only the beginning.  oh boy.  what if i come home with 300 kids?  (there is a picture of her under “browse my photos” and she has a pink shirt on πŸ™‚

then…Gary Black, an amazing Godly man with an incredible vision spoke.  he touched on many different topics, and at the end we were praying for different nations.  he began to speak a little about the sex prostitutes and orphans in different countries.  his goal is to raise 6.5 millions dollars to rescue every sex slave from thailand…and launch them into a new life.  woah.  as he spoke about holding these girls in his arms, from the age of 6 and up, tears just started streaming down my face.  God really broke me for these girls, and my passion to join in their rescue is just on fire in my heart.  i know we are venturing out to see things i can’t even really imagine.  i hope you follow us this next year and keep us in your prayers.  i will be posting lots of pictures and stories and am confident God is going to do amazing things with our generation in raising up many disciples for Him.

one more thing… πŸ™‚

we have had two really cool guys alongside us for the past couple days.  stephen and nathan have come down from new york city and work for media production companies.  i know one is www.revolutiontheory.com.  they are shooting a video on Christianity vs. Islam.  their vision is digging into the core depths of each and filming raw footage of who we really are.  how the God we serve is personal!  how we can have a relationship with Him.  how He talks to us and we can talk to Him!  how amazing for the world to see we are not some boring “religious” group, but real, authentic children of God, who seek to love everyone and desires to share in this great joy we have received.  stephen and nathan will be traveling to Israel and other countries also.  please keep their safety as well in your prayers.  as soon as we hear more about the name of this movie and when it will be released…i’ll let you know πŸ™‚

tomorrow morning we are heading out on our journey down south.  we are racing the other teams to a ship in porte vera cruz, taking a picture with the date and time we arrive, and then are heading out to a city in southern mexico to begin our ministry.  i will let you know how the travel goes and love reading your comments!  you are all in my prayers and i can’t express enough how grateful i am for you all.  all my love…

(my pictures should also be coming up now too πŸ™‚
