yesterday kim and i prayer walked up and down the streets. we took the rest of the ring pops along with some bread and tracks to hand out to needy families. the ring pops went very fast due to the mass number of kids at the park. 🙂 we did not find very many families to hand the bread out to, but was able to give out some.
today, we went back down to the hospital. we had promised Nidia we would take her to McDonalds for hamburgers, so at about 11:00 we went to pick her up and fill out the necessary paperwork. it was such a joy seeing the spark in her eyes as she enterd the fresh air. we treated her to a happy meal which she was ecstatic about. she said she is saving the toy to give to her little sister next time she visits. we played with her in the McDonalds park for a bit (which by the way is unusually nicer than any one i have ever seen before!). she got tired quickly, so paul picked her a flower and we headed back to the hospital.
tonight elliot is leading us in a Bible study. its crazy we only have a few more days in antigua. i am really going to miss these people and the awesome fellowship they have given us. as i sit here, across the street in an internet cafe…i can hear them singing….”I have a friend in God.”
