A quick update on what is happening on the other side of the world…

We recently left Tuzla, Bosnia where we have spent the last month serving the local church and missionaries there.
It was an amazing time and I’m honored to have had the opportunity to work alongside a team of devoted people who truly loved the Lord.

On the 25th we met up with the rest of the group and headed to Split, Croatia.
We took a boat to an island called Brac where we are having our debrief til Sunday.
We are camping near the beach and I’m pretty much in heaven right now.

Kim, Laura, and I all have a 3 person tent to share…which seems like it fits right?
Well one tends to forget that each of our packs takes the place of another person.
Maybe a person and a half.

So, if you can imagine our tiny blue tent with three large packs, three smaller packs, three purses, and three sweaty girls all crowding in…it doesn’t sound too pretty.
Therefore, I opted to throw my sleeping bag outside and sleep under the stars.
Not a bad deal if you ask me!

So here we are.
We have spent the last few days in meetings together.
  Filling out debrief forms.
Praying with our teams and for this country.
Enjoying fellowship and meals with each other.

Yesterday morning along with this morning, each team had the chance to talk about their month.
As the South Africans were beginning to talk about their time at camp, I noticed Stefan and Dude weren’t with our group.
Within a few seconds, they came flying in all dressed up like Barnabas and Joseph.
  It was great!
They intertwined a little bible story in with their explanation of camp.
It just reminded me that you really can make even the little things in life entertaining.

What else…
OH… you may be curious what we are doing about the whole Israel trip?
Well it was decided by AIM that we would steer clear of entering that country.
So what we are working on now is still heading to Turkey when we leave Croatia.
Since we would have to go through Greece anyways to get to Turkey, I think we are going to stop there for three days and have a couple of the girls who have been there already lead us to their favorite biblical sites.
We will then continue on for our 8 days in Turkey.
After Turkey, we are going to be heading straight to Cairo, Egypt.
Someone has made a contact for us in northern Egypt I believe so I think we will be heading that way to serve for the extra time.
And then after Egypt…we will be flying to Nairobi, Kenya for the last leg of our trip being Africa.
I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by, but am excited to see what God continues to do through the end of the race.

Thank you guys for everything.
  You are the BEST!

Lots of love…

a few pics from our team-building water races.  so much fun 🙂
