This is my new teammate Rachelle, and she desperately needs your help!
Rachelle is in danger of being sent home if she doesn’t get $1,733 by Friday. We know that the Lord is absolutely going to provide, because Rachelle is meant to be here, BUT that means that we need people like you to donate to her so that the Lord can provide. 🙂
Rachelle is a freaking rock star. Seriously. But she’s one of those people who sort of hides– she’ll give you her opinion all day long, but you can live with her for weeks without actually knowing any hard facts about her. We have LOVED watching her come out of her shell to this team, and she just can’t go home, we won’t allow it. Plus, she’s my new movie-buff friend 🙂 It’s quite possible that she knows more about movies than I do, and I finally have someone on my team who will understand my obscure Harry Potter references! I love having a fellow nerd on my team. But seriously, she is such an encouragement to me, and a huge source of comfort. It’s completely common for us to get random notes of encouragement and challenge from her, and she has prophetic dreams pretty often, which is flippin’ cool. She has so much more to give and so much more to learn on this race, and she just can’t go home!
If you’re reading this, please go to rachelleuribe.theworldrace.org and read her blog for a while. You will fall in love with her heart, which she has poured out on her blog as she has been working her butt off to raise the last bit of this money. Please, please don’t blow this off! I will confess that this is what I have done for years: I read an email or blog about someone raising money, and I just assume that the next person will do it, so I blow it off. Now I am the one in the position of raising money, and I feel the hurt of so many people making the decision to let the next person deal with it. So for today, I’m not even asking you to donate to me; Rachelle needs you way more than I do. Please, please go help her out!
And while we’re feeling generous… this is Anmari, another squadmate of mine is in danger of being sent home if she doesn’t raise $4,500 by Friday. Anmari DESPERATELY needs donations! I got to work with her the whole month in Ireland, and she works her tail off. Plus, she has promised to eat something really unpleasant and capture it on film when she raises the money in time, and if she raises more than enough, she is going to shave her head. She’s that serious. Please, please go to anmaririvera.theworldrace.org and help her out as well– she has a long way to go, but I absolutely know that the Lord wants her to be here, and will provide for her to be here through people like you. 🙂
