Operation Kathman-DO-IT begins tomorrow!  The plan is to leave Kathmandu in the morning, drive up near the Tibet border and then hike up into the mountains.  We will be hiking to several villages and showing The Jesus Film to Nepali people that have never heard the gospel We should be back in Kathmandu by December 1st.

I’m super excited about this amazing opportunity! Along with this, I’m also kind of nervous. This looks like it will be the most challenging thing so far on the Race. The cold is what I’m most concerned about. I’ve also never backpacked before so I’m excited and a bit nervous about that as well. I’m sure that this will be well worth it though. This will be a unique Thanksgiving for sure, hiking through the Himalayas and sharing Jesus in remote villages.  When will I ever have this privilege again?! God is just full of surprises.

I’ll be missing my wonderful family this Thanksgiving (remember me when you’re eating those mashed potatoes and gravy!) but am thankful for such a rare opportunity to spread the gospel to unreached people and to see some of the most amazing mountains in the world.

The challenge is before us.  Please remember to lift up our teams (Port Jubilee and Rhema) this next week and a half.  Pray that God will show up in never before seen ways to us and to the people that we will be reaching out to.  May people come to Christ.  May hearts be encouraged.  May the light of Christ shine brightly in the dark places that we’re going. Please pray for safety, strength, perseverance, warmth and good attitudes.  May we keep our eyes fixed on what is unseen.  Just pray that God will show up in BIG ways because He is a BIG God, and we are desiring MORE Him.

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me!  Your prayers and encouragement mean more than you know. May the Lord bless you abundantly this Thanksgiving. Count your blessings. See what God has done!

Happy Thanksgiving from Nepal!
