"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
Jeremiah 33:3

As the days pass, a lot comes to mind about this upcoming mission trip. What will it be like? How will I adjust to so many different cultures? Will I be sick a lot? Will I like my squadmates? What will I encounter? What will the Lord do? And the list goes on…
Great and mighty things which I don't know…I think I am most definitely expecting the Lord to teach me great and mighty things that I do not know.
I'm looking ahead and seeing lots of different senarios…I expect times of GREAT joy and times of intense sorrow. I expect to be lonely in the midst of lots of people and terribly out of place. I expect to feel safe with my WR "family" and comforted by the Lord through them. I'm expecting my heart to be broken…for the poor, for the orphans, for the nations. I'm expecting my world-view to change in a huge way. I'm expecting my faith to be challenged and to GROW. I am expecting to be humbled more and more (I feel like that's pretty much what the Lord's been doing in me for the past 6 months). I'm expecting to be homesick for family and friends and everything familiar and comfortable. I'm expecting to LOVE the adventures and to make lots of incredible memories and life-long friends! I'm expecting that at several points I'll probably want to call it quits and go back to the US, but I won't. I'm expecting the Lord to do amazing things in and through me! I'm expecting Him to give me His love for the people that I meet and live with and to give me His eyes to see the world with. I expect to feel quite helpless and also comforted in the fact that God is in control.
I'm expecting God to totally blow me away with tons of things I can't even imagine!
So those are a lot of my expectations for the WR. Only the Lord KNOWS what's ahead, and that's okay. I pray that I will be moldable and teachable.
I thank the Lord that He uses broken vessels! May He be glorified in and through this. That's my biggest expectation, that the Lord will be glorified above everything else! Thanks for reading and for being a part of this team and what the Lord is doing. Love y'all!
"Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
Ephesians 3:20-21
