I'd like to just hit on a few points that stood out to me as I look back on Training Camp. This is in no way all encompassing, but just gives a brief overview of a few areas.
First off, I really enjoyed it! It wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be (if I can say that). I loved setting up my tent and sleeping in my sleeping bag and hanging out with my new squad and lots of other random things. It was great!

My little "home" for training camp. Quiet times out on the field.
We got split up into our teams of 6 or 7 people that we'll work more closely with. I'll hopefully introduce you to them in a near-future blog. 🙂
FREEDOM: This was a big focus of the week. Freedom from sin. Freedom from your past. Freedom from the bondage that we're in. Freedom to have life to the full in Christ. I think the goal was to try and just get rid of all of our garbage and allow the Lord to bring healing and redemption. How can we offer freedom and hope to the nations if we're still in bondage ourselves??

Kacie, Katie & I are ready to move to another spot! India day with my new friend from AL. Twin States!
HONOR: This is one thing that was very refreshing for me. This isn't a topic that I hear discussed too too often and certainly not something I actually get to see and receive very much. We focused on honoring ourselves, honoring others, honoring the Lord and honoring the process that the Lord has others in. Wow. What a concept.
I'd like to give a shout out to the WR men and say that I felt honored by them. Whether it was picking up my 30 something pound pack and helping me put it on or offering to help set up my tent and dry out my rain fly or even just being verbally affirming and encouraging, I felt that the men were very honoring to me and the rest of the women. It was a blessing to be taken care of and looked after. Thank you!

A-Squad getting pumped for Squad Wars! After Ashley shared her tent/clothes w/me…we're bonded for life!
HOPE/EVANGELISM: This is IT This is WHY. Taking HOPE to the nations…Taking JESUS. This gets me excited! This is what fans the flame in my heart.
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. FREELY you have received, FREELY give."
Matthew 10:8
