Ministry
The ministry this month has been a lot of construction (and by construction I mean weeding and moving bricks) with a few english classes. It has been incredible to see how much progress has been made on the church building that is being built on the property here as well as see how our endless weeding and brick moving and stacking has help the progress of the actual construction here. Since being here the first level of the church building has been completed and the second level in underway. Also because of all our weeding they have been able to dig the trenches for all of the plumbing.
Lessons, Challenges, and Goals
This month has been a little more challenging on a personal level. The Lord has been showing me areas of my heart that are still in need of healing. He is revealing to me things I need to let go of, people I need to forgive/ask forgiveness from, and areas I need more of Him in.
I have been learning more and more how to live in community and to see what it is like to have a community of people around you who truly want to see you grow in The Lord and want to walk along side with you in whatever He is doing and who will encourage you, challenge you and build you up.
Romania
This month my team will be in Lipova, Romania. We will be working in a church that main vision is to disciple new Christians and help them to find a church family of their choosing that they will grow and thrive in. We will also have an opportunity to teach English again and work with orphans and at risk children in the Lipova area.
Please pray for our ministry and the relationships we will be making. Please pray for us to be able to pour into the lives of these new Christians and encourage them in their walk. Pray that we would be able to love on the children we encounter with the love of the Father in ways they may have never experienced before. Pray for The Lord to show up in amazing ways and do more than we could ever imagine. Pray for encounters with Him, for healings, deliverances, and His spirit to be all around.
I am so excited about this month. I love this country already!
Prayer
This month I know The Lord is going to take me into even deeper places (just like each month), but as things get deeper stuff comes up. I could really use prayer in letting those things go, surrendering all that needs to be surrendered to The Lord, and saying yes to going to the hard and uncomfortable places. Pray that I would experience and receive more of his grace, love, and freedom.
Pray that my team would continue to grow in community and that we would really live out Acts 2 on the race together. Pray that we would continue to grow together, encourage each other, and speak truth to each other. Pray that as we grown in love for one another that love would pour out into our ministry and we would be able to bring the same atmosphere we have created with one another into every place and situation we go.
Fundraising
As of this moment I have met my October 1st deadline!!! Thank you so much for all your donations and you support. The Lord provided in so many amazing ways not only for me but for my entire squad (look for a blog bout this soon)! My final fundraising deadline is in January and I will need to have the $16,300 in my account at that time. I am currently $4,800 away from that goal.
Thank you to all of you who have and continue to donate and pray for my World Race adventure! I have continually be humbled over and over again by your generosity and your investment in me.
