You know when your heart starts to race…
the first time you hold hands with someone
as you go over the first loop of the
rollarcoaster
right before the first time you kiss someone
you hold your child for the first time
as you hear the words “I love you!”
Well that’s exactly what
God’s doing to me! He has me falling head over heels madly in love with Him! In
the last few days I’ve received quite a few love letters from God…
It started the other night
during worship. I felt led to just go up to the window and just pray over
Romania. While I was praying I looked up and there it was the most beautiful
star, just for me. It was the only star in the sky and I knew that it was God’s
gift to me. It made my heart beat like holding hands for the first time with someone that you really care about.
Then the next song to come
on during worship was “How He Loves Us.” I thought about how much He loves me…
He loved me before I was born,
He loved me when my mother held me for the first
time,
He loved me when I chased seagulls along the pier,
He loved me when I
made AllStars for softball,
He even loved me when I started to talk to Him
less,
He loved me when I graduated high school,
He even loved me when I stopped
listening to Him,
He even loved me on those mornings when my face was hung over
a toilet,
He even loved me when I ignored Him,
He loved me when He lifted me
out of my mess,
He loved me when He broke my chains,
He loved me as I rolled
down the mountain snowboarding,
He loves me when I stand in awe of His
creation,
He loves me when I dig a trench with a hammer,
He loves me when I
dance,
He loves me even if I mess up…
He loves me for just being me.
He loves
me like no one else, knows me like no one else, cares for me like no one else,
and captivates my heart like no one else.
