I want to apologize first of all for not having blogged in a little while. We left last Friday from Pulcallpa, Peru to meet up with our squad at Lake Titicaca to enjoy a few days together before we headed off to our next country. I think that my team and are getting better at bus rides especially after our last travel days (if you remember the 61 hours in 5 days) This time our bus ride from Pulcullpa to Lima was 17 hours, even though that seems like a lot by the time we were done we were all saying, “Oh that wasn’t so bad.” Sounds crazy but if you sit on bus for 24 hours straight, 17 hours looks glorious. Our team stayed the night in Lima and waited on the rest of our squad to join us on Sunday.

This is where we took our next two buses and arrived in Puno, Peru (about 15 minutes from Lake Titicaca) at about 9pm. The next morning a group of us took boats out to see the lake. Lake Titicaca is a huge lake on the boarder of both Peru and Bolivia which is made up of many floating islands. We were able to learn about how the islands were formed, the different culture, and they even let us play dress up!
Later that evening when we got back we gathered for a worship session. Lately I’ve been feeling distant… I’m not exactly sure how but I felt like I hadn’t been myself. During the beginning of this time together Cristie (one of our fabulous squad leaders) spoke and share with us different verses. Each one of these verses just really hit me and I’d like to share them with you.
Romans 8:18-21 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.”

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prater and supplication with thanksgiving let you requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

John 13: 35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
