Sunday was a sad but happy day. I was sad to say goodbye to my new friends, some who i will be spending the next year of my life with. These friends are my July world race team. I never thought i could connect with a group of people that fast, but they totally proved me wrong. We laughed, cryed, and grew in our relationships with God together. It also was a happy day because i got to come home and take a shower, sleep in a nice bed, and see my family and friends again. In 10 short weeks i will be getting on a plane again and this time i will be gone for 11 months. Its scary but i think im ready for it.
On my plane ride home i thought i was going to have a peaceful ride. Maybe i would get to read some of the books i have to read for the world race or maybe i would get to take a nap after an exhausting week but little did i know who was going to be sitting next to me. This amazing ladies name was Roxy. She was carring this familiar bag which i saw many ladies carry in the Atlanta airport. It was black with colorful flowers and i was curious. I soon asked her where her bag was from and she told me she worked for a company called Arbonne.

Arbonne is a company who makes all natural beauty products. They make fragances, skin care products, and even vitamins. Roxy was very proud to be working for this company and there big convention was in Atlanta that week. She explained what her complany stood for. Many people in her company try to make a difference in their community. Some by donating their money, others donate their time or resources. She told me about this lady who helped cancer patients feel beautiful again by doing their makeup with arbonnes products.
Then Roxy asked me why i was in Atlanta and i told her about the world race. I told he how we had just done our training and that i was on my way back to Westerville, close to where she grew up. I told he that we would be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months and that we were young people who loved Jesus and wanted to tell the world how much he loved them too. Me and Roxy talked the whole 1+ hour flight. I told he my story about how God reveled the world race to me and we talked about how God has spoken to both of us. She was an amazing lady and understood the power of God. I was so happy that God had put her in my life because she is what i needed to process what had happened in my heart that week and what i needed to do to tell the world about Jesus.
We made declarations of what we would stand for and mine was to be bold for Jesus and thats what i was doing. After the amazing conversation on that flight me and roxy exchanged email addresses, phone numbers, and i gave her my blog info for this race. Roxy told me she wanted to support me which meant the world to me. We both went picked up our bags and went our seperate ways.
I dont know if i will ever talk to Roxy again or if our conversation meant as much to her and it meant to me but that unexpected encounter was just what i needed for the plane ride home. God is so cool and the way he works, how he puts people in our lives for certain reasons. Im so excited what he is going to do in my life this next year. I look forward to many more amazing unexpected encounters.
