–OK, maybe not quite a million, but …–

As I am sure many of you can tell, blogging regularly has been a bit of a challenge for me thus far.  Allison has told our squad time and again what a valuable ministry our blog is to our friends and family back home.  Still, I have to admit, until recently, I wondered if my blog was really ministering to anyone (sorry Allison).

The question about my blog was answered recently by someone I hold near and dear to my heart…my sister.  Christen is an amazing woman of God with whom I have shared my faith and life journeys for the last 24 years.   Recently, I had a conversation with Christen about the things that the Lord is doing in our lives, and she told me that she had found a new passion for reading the Word and spending time with the Lord each day.  Although she was already spending time in the Word, Christen expressed an increased hunger for the bread of life.  What came as a surprise to me was the fact that she felt as though the stories and updates shared on my blog played a role in her desire for greater intimacy with the Lord.

For the last 3 months, I have underestimated the power of the Lord and the work that He is doing in and through my squad, my team and me.  I did not foresee the impact our ministry could have halfway around the world.  Forgive me for doubting and for not making THIS ministry more of a priority.  I stand corrected–thank you Christen!
