Upon arrival yesterday, our contact’s wife, Pamela told us
that their running water had suddenly stopped working less than 20 minutes
before we arrived.  We worried little
about it that night, ate dinner, worshiped and went to bed.   When we woke up this morning, there was still
no running water.  As the morning
progressed, Pamela mentioned to a small group of us that she would like to pray
over the taps in their house, in hope that the Lord would restore the valuable
resource that was lost.  We started
praying over the taps in the kitchen and quickly recruited the rest of our team
to pray over the other faucets and toilets in their home and the guest
house.  As the prayer continued, we
overheard cheers coming from the guest house as some of the racers discovered
the toilets were flushing once again.
Still, the faucets themselves were dry.
Although the majority of us ceased prayer after 30-40 minutes, there was
one group of men from our teams that continued prayer over one tap for nearly 2
hours.  William took us into town to show
us the community where we would be doing ministry for the next three weeks
shortly after their 2 hours of prayer ended.
When we left, both houses were still without running water.

Pastor William spoke with Pamela later this afternoon while
we were out on the town and she reported that the water was back on.  When we arrived back at home, she told us a
more detailed story about how the water came back on.  She told us that the faucet the guys prayed
over was the first to have water, approximately 20 minutes after we left to go
into town.  At first this faucet was the
ONLY faucet that would work.  Slowly,
within the next hour, running water was restored throughout each house.  What a MIRACLE, huh?!

The Lord’s power and provision continues to amaze me each
and every day!  He knows how desperately
we need elemental water to survive and He provides it for us daily-whether we
acknowledge it as His provision or not.
What we sometimes forget is how desperately we are in need of living
water as well.  It is the Living Water
that provides the running water we all need.
Praise the Living Water for His never-ending love and provision this Holiday season!
