Here’s the sitch.
Training camp starts Saturday. That’s Saturday, as in 2 days from now. I might be freaking out just a little!!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m as excited as all get out, but my nerves are gettin a jump start on me!
How often do you jump on a plane to go meet 70+ people YOU DON’T KNOW, having NO CLUE what you’ll be doing, NO CLUE what you’ll be eating, where you’ll be sleeping. It’s thrilling to not know.
The problem is, I like to know. I like to know exactly what I’m getting myself into, what I’ll be doing, who I’ll be with, where I’ll be sleeping, what I’ll be eating, etc. I like to know! But where is the faith in knowing everything? Where is there opportunity for God to show up and show off if you have everything planned?
That’s the thrilling part. Not knowing, but knowing that God does.
So pray for me, as we begin this crazy adventure as a squad. Pray for travel to and from camp (it’s in Georgia). Pray for me as I meet all of these incredible people I’ve only begun to get to know over facebook. Pray that I don’t hold back feeling uncomfortable in the new situation, but that I open up and really get the most out of the week! Pray specifically for my team. I know I’ve asked this before, but I want the prayers to be there, because the team is so important to what happens on the Race! Pray that I would be on a team with people that compliment my personality, not suffocate it, people that will challenge me to be more like God on a daily basis, people that I can trust, people that I can laugh with, cry with, pray with, and minister with. I take comfort in knowing that God knows what He’s doing in helping select the teams, but encourage Him for me, will ya? 🙂
Thank you for all of your support-each and every one of you mean the world to me! I look forward to sharing with you what God does in me at Training Camp! Until then…adios!
