Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know it was planned that I would be leaving for the World Race, to go to 11 countries in 11 months as a missionary in July of this year. I left for training camp a month ago and while I was there they informed me my trip would be postponed for a year due to unforeseen circumstances and measures beyond my control. To be honest I was extremely disappointed when I heard this but over the past week I have been prayerful and I trust that this is God’s will for me at this time….He has not said “no”, he said “wait”.
“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always (1 Chronicles 16:11). For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does (Psalm 33:4). So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). ”
I am standing in the firm conviction that God continues to watch over and guide me on my journey.
My new leave date will be July 2014. As, some of you may or may not know, with all of your help we reached our goal of raising $15,500 in April! What a blessing God has shown us. It is important to me to let you know your donations are still secure with Adventures in Missions (the organization that The World Race is a part of). They will remain in my account and nothing will be lost due to time. Also, for those of you that gave to me directly that money is in a separate bank account at a separate bank to be used only for my trip. That account will stay active and all monies will remain in that account until I leave next year.
I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and patience in this matter. I thank you again for your support through this entire process. I am relaying in God’s truth that I cannot control this situation and that I will trust in God and that He is in control.
