Hello everyone,
First I want to thank you for visiting my blog. This blog will be used to stay in contact with everyone as we take this journey together that God has in store for us. Because as you support me this is not just my journey but yours as well. So my hope is that you will stay connected to me throughout this next year and a half.
So I want to answer some basic questions right up front!
So, where am I going??
Well in order of how we plan to travel I will be traveling to: Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia. Due to security reasons, safety, etc. the trip roster can change at any time.
Why am I doing this?
Yes. One of the purposes of this trip is to travel the world caring for “the least of these”; taking care of those who the world has rejected, turned its back upon and deemed unworthy. And that is one reason why I am going. Because as Christians, God called us to take care of ALL of our brothers and sisters.
But in all honesty, I am taking this journey for a more selfish reason. I am embarking on this journey for myself. You see, I am an type-A personality, one who has control on everything in my life (well at least on the outside). When really all along I felt I have been spinning out of control. But God has given me this opportunity to relinquish that control to him. To depend on Him. Giving up all that I have, and I don’t just mean physically, but I DO mean mentally, to take a leap towards trust and faith to pursue a life for HIM. That is why I am doing this.
What I am asking of you?
First, Prayer is the most powerful gift God has bestow upon us. And I am asking for you to earnestly pray for me, my team, those we will encounter and those of you supporting us back in the States. Second, if you would like to get updates about my trip while I am away sign up here. I would love for you to follow what God is doing in our lives and others on this journey.
