Yay, I finally had wifi strong enough to upload this video from Nepal!

Some of you know my dad and I share a birthday and we make it a point to do something crazy together once a year. Well, this year I was missing my adventure buddy, but he told me he still wanted me to go do something wild. (I would have felt guilty if I didn’t secretly plan something adventurous for him to do while I am away. Can’t wait to hear all about the flying lessons dad!)

We decided it was best not to include mom in on the plan because she tends to … well freak out about everything related to an adrenaline rush. The original plan was to go paragliding in Pokhara. With our ministry schedule and timing it didn’t look like it was going to work out so when a bunch of people on my squad decided to go bungee jumping for adventure day my ears perked up.

The ONLY two things my parents told me not to do this year were get a tattoo or go bungee jumping. Still going strong on my word by the way, so you can breath mom.

I really never have wanted to go bungee jumping, even after watching 14 other people do it I’m still not sure if its something I will do … but then again theres always South Africa. However, when I heard they also had the world’s biggest canyon swing I was all in! In my head somehow I pictured a sitting harness with very little free fall and more swing … I WAS SO WRONG! You have a chest harness, jump off the same platform as the bungee people feet first, and free fall for 5 to 6 seconds! Ooops! Talk about an adrenaline rush!

The funniest part being when I sent my parent’s my GPS location it went only to my mom’s phone with the description “Bungee Jump Nepal”, I had no wifi for almost 20 hours after she got that message and the entire time my poor mother is thinking thats what I was doing (not knowing my dad knew) and all she got after was an “OMGosh that was awesome” meant for my dad. Sorry for all the mini heart attacks we continue to give you momma, we promise we mean well. Thanks so much for the birthday gift dad, missed you though wasn’t the same doing it with out you!
