Last night we had three guys come in to do a conference with us for the next few days. Andrew, Tom and Gary. It is going to be amazing. We all got back from ministry in different neighborhoods around 9 last night and we had dinner. When we were finished the guys got up and introduced themselves to us and told us why they were here. Then when they were finished Gary asked if he could pray for us. The day before we had started looking for transportation for the next couple of months to get us to Guatemala and possibly to L.A. but none of the teams were exactly sure what they were supposed to do. Some had direction others had nothing yet. Our group didn’t have any specific direction from the Lord yet. While we were eating dinner the guys were walking around talking to everyone and they said that everyone was dealing with the same problem. Transportation. So he wanted to pray for us. He told us to close our eyes and hold out our hands. He started praying for dreams. For the Lord to give us direction through dreams that night. That the Lord would speak clearly to us. Then he told us to ask for them but not to ourselves he wanted us to use our words and speak and ask for them. So we did. We all asked for dreams from the Lord. After that we were done for the night and everyone headed off for bed. Before I went to bed I kept asking that he would give me dreams and lead us to whatever he had for us. Then I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and I had had a dream. But it was really random and I didn’t think that it meant much but I wasn’t sure. So everyone had went to breakfast and laura and I and ali were in the room still and someone asked if anyone had any dreams. So we all told if we had one and shared them and still mine was kind of out there and I still wasn’t sure. I go to breakfast and talk to hugh and he asks if I had any dreams and I told him same reaction….weird but he did say pray and ask what it means. After breakfast I had my devotional and I asked the Lord what it meant and what He wanted to say. He told me that we needed to follow after Him and ask Him and He would lead us. After breakfast we had our time together….then got ready to go and get our transportation. Up until now I still hadn’t shared the dream with all of my team or you….:) sorry. I had a dream that I was in the parking lot at the mall in Abilene. I saw a friend there and started talking to him. He was with a guy that was standing against an orange van. I went over and talked to the guy by the van for a min. and that was it. Next thing I remember in my dream I was talking to a guy and he was eating an orange. So it was really random and I didn’t understand it but I felt like I should tell them all and also what the Lord said about asking him and following him and letting him lead us. So we all kind of laughed about the orange dream and left. I went with Bob (the missionary that we are working with here) to get the money for our team and the rest of my team went in a another van to drop off the guys at a car lot and then come pick me up. Bob and I got done quickly so he called my team to find out where they were and he was going to drop me off. He got off the phone and said hey…..thy said they think they found a vehicle. I was like wonderful. So we pull up and they said they found the vehicle because of my dream. They were on their way to the car lot they had planned to go and Kristin looked over and saw an orange van in a car lot. So they immediately pulled over and looked at it. The van was not cool at all, but behind it in the corner of the lot there was an 85 suburban for 1900. up until now the only lead we had was a van in the other car lot they were going to for 3500 which was about 2000 more than we wanted to spend. Anyway this suburban was perfect. They sold it to us for 1550. It’s old and huge but it is a gift from the Lord and it is perfect. Paul and I went back into Brownsville today and bought and got everything we needed for it title, registration, insurance here and in mexico, the oil changed and all for under 2000. God is awesome and faithful and if we ask……we will receive.
