yesterday was a really good day. paul and elliott asked me to go with them to see nydia. nydia is in the hospital that we volunteer at. paul and elliott spend a lot of time with her. we met her the very first day and the Lord put her on pauls heart. she is 26 years old and has polio. she is absolutly beautiful and so funny. i spend all of my time with the kids, so other than the first day of meeting her i hadnt spent anytime with her. but paul talks about her all of the time….so i feel like i know her. she is very smart and through conversations with her paul found out that she wasnt a believer. but she is smart enough to
understand so he decided to tell her about Jesus. first of all he found out that she really liked action movies. so he brought a spanish/english Bible and read her the story of david and golieth. then they read a few more fun stories. he also found out that she could sing. so he asked me to come and play my guitar so that she could sing. so i went with them. we played and sang for a little while then she said that she liked my hair and wanted to change her look. i asked her if she would like me to paint her nails and she got really excited. so i left her there with paul and elliott to get her some nail polish. when i got back i walked in and they were praying. i went and sat down and paul said…shes getting saved. it was so awsome to be able to sit there and watch her pray. when she was done we got around her and prayed for her. it was beautiful. paul told her that the angels were singing in heaven. so praise the Lord we have a new sister in Christ!!!!!
last night we had an angel come to visit us. his name is dana. jessica and kim had been talking to him earlier that night and told him that we were all sleeping on the floor.
he said he thought that he might have an air matress and he could bring it to us the next day. we were really excited. then around 11pm someone was knocking on the door and he came in with 4 air matresses and a twin size matress pad. i almost cried. last night was one of the best nights sleep that i had ever had.
we have started memorizing our verses again….we slacked of a little. so here is todays verse:
“Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” John 4:10
