we said our goodbyes in tabasco and that was a lot harder then i thought it was going to be. our last night there we got together with the drama team from the church that we have been working with. we shared with each other our appriciation for everyone and said thank you and they did the same for us. i cried. they kept saying cry! cry! but in spanish of course. and laughing. 🙂 the next morning we got ready to leave and i had to tell the kids goodbye. that was hard and i knew it would be. i definatly cried a lot then also. those kids are amazing and i am going to miss them so much.
we drove to palenque on thursday and got here that afternoon. there is a huge waterfall. it is so beautiful. pictures soon. i promise. we started our debrief yesterday and it is wonderful. getting to actually hear the stories from the other teams is awsome. the Lord has worked in so many ways. He is so amazing.
i am reading a book called The Heavenly Man. i love it. kim and jessica just finished reading it. i was talking to jessica about it the other night. in the book he talks about memorizing scripture and the whole book is full of the Word. so i was telling her that i really wanted to memorize more scripture and she said she did too. so we decided that we would memorize together and keep each other accountable. in the book a think that we laugh about is when he is asked his name and where he is from he says, ” i am a heavenly man. i am not from this earth.” after deciding to memorize i got out a book about declaring the Word of God. and it is full of scripture. jessica opened it up and the first scripture was “i am a heavenly man, a citizen of heaven.” Eph. 2:19. it is so funny sometimes how the Lord confirms things. He is awsome. so that was our first verse. ” consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God´s people and members of God´s household” Eph.2:19 our verse for today is “He has rescued us from the dominion of darkiness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves ” Col.1:13
that is good news.
please pray for our team and all of the teams during this time of debrief. also for our travel to guateamala. pray that the Lord will go before us and prepare the hearts of the people that we are going to minister to. thank you.
Shalom
