today has been a very exciting day for me. i stayed behind and worked on our budget and getting all of the reciepts together. tonight we are having a team meeting and we are going to go over the budget so we will all be able to see exactly where all of our money is going. sometimes i feel a little stressed out being the one who handles the money. i get worried that i might make a mistake and cost the group money, but the Lord is good and faithful and has sent kim in to help with everything. and he is som much bigger than my mistakes. so i try not to worry.
we started our day off by getting together and praying about orange and what the Lords will is for her. so please be in prayer with us about that.
the rest of the group went to the hospital today. paul, kim and jessica took nydia to lunch. thay
said that they had a wonderful time. it makes me so sad to know that so many of the patients have to stay there all of the time. not many of them have people to take them out. so day after day they sit in the same place and eat the same food. so i know for nydia this was a blessing. and i know that the Lord is going to bless paul, jessica and kim for serving her in that way.
laura also went to the hospital. she went to hang out with the kids. it makes me laugh a lot how much time she spends there with them.
before we ever came on the trip i talked about how excited i was to go to the orphanages and love on the kids….and she was not excited about that at all. she is scared of kids. she always says she thinks that they are aliens and doesnt know what to do with them. but the Lord has changed her heart. and i love it. she is so in love with those kids and would stay there day and night if they would let her. there is one little boy that the nurses call her son. she stays with him most of the time. it is awsome.
please be in prayer for our team to get everything worked out with orange…that we would hear the Lords voice, please continue to pray for nydia and all of the kids at hermano pedro. also please pray for higher ground coffee…the place we are staying and for abner, alex, ashley and carol. they have been so wonderful since we have been here and i pray that the Lord will bless them and the coffee shop for their willingness to serve.
Shalom
