right now we are staying in a coffee shop called Higher Ground. it is so great. they are very close to the Christian Spanish School so we get to talk to a lot of people who speak english. it is so great. in the back there is a wonderful women named Carol. she is an angel. (we have pictures….but something is wrong with our camera) when we came our first night we hadnt eaten supper yet and she gave us some stew. it was wonderful. then she took us to the bodagona (grocery store) the next day.
she volunteers at the coffee shop. she bakes all of the goodies. she told us one night that the Lord gave her a name…the Baker for the Maker. we wake up in the morning to hear her singing worship music in the kitchen. she is in her 70s and is really tall. she has beautiful silver hair. she wears cute little aprons. and she is just hilarious. we all love her so much. she told me today that she might go to mardi gras to do some street evangalism. so we just hang out in the kitchen and watch her bake things like chocolate chip cookies, lemon pound cake and carrot cake.
