So as it turns out, we did not work on the electricity at all.  They had professionals to do the job & we watched some.  Kind of a bummer but also probably for the best.

The experience there turned out to be a challenging experience to process & I have had a hard time putting it into words to share.  I’ve got a good rough draft going but I’m not quite ready yet.  It’s really hard to process extreme poverty mixed with overwhelming joy & generosity.  I know I’ve seen stuff LIKE that before but this by far was the most intense example.  I want to honor the lives & stories of the people we met which is why it’s taking me some time to figure out how to share it.

We’ve truthfully had little “down” time to prepare stuff & I’ve been behind with emails/needs at home that had to be worked out.  The first month on the race is certainly an adjustment.  The married couple in our team compares it to being married to 6 people (our team has 7 members) & I think their analogy is right on.  So, needless to say, we are figuring out a lot about ourselves, each other, how best to work with and honor our ministry contacts, etc.  We’ve had some remarkably beautiful experiences along with some truly challenging ones.  We are in the land of ups & downs, so it’s no surprise that our experience has been just that.  I will burn copies of some of their pictures (my camera is mia in the bag-it’s in there somewhere) to share with the next blog posting.  I should be back in town next week with some pictures to share.

We found out some of next month’s ministry….SO exciting!!! Orphans in Nicaragua-yay!!  So, until next time we’re still alive & kicking & loving all the prayers coming our way.  Thank you for the support!!!
