Can you believe that my launch is just over a week away!? I fly to Atlanta on September 3rd and will leave the U.S. the following week. I could bore you with my lengthy to-do list or ask you for tips on packing for a year in less than 35 pounds, but I have decided to spare you the boring details. Besides, I have something much more exciting to share!

It is my pleasure to introduce Team H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Eternity)

The following 5 people will be my World Race family for the year. We will laugh and cry, dig into each others lives and serve Jesus together. I am so thankful for each of these teammates!

OUR FIRST MINISTRY!

Ironically, Team H.O.P.E. will be spending our first month of The World Race at Threads of HOPE in Puerta Galera, Philippines. Threads of Hope is an amazing organization that helps desperate families earn an honest income (rather than selling their children into prostitution) by selling bracelets to local tourists (and abroad). Threads of Hope currently buys over 120,000 bracelets each month, providing income for over 150 families. For our month of ministry, Team H.O.P.E. will be building relationships with many of the families, running Vacation Bible School for the kids, and helping with inventory.

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!!

Would you be interested in helping out Threads of Hope while also supporting my World Race. I am looking for people who would be interested in selling bracelets. These things sell like crazy, especially at churches and schools. They will be sold for a suggested donation of $5 each ($1 will go to Threads of Hope and $4 will go into my support account). I can have the bracelets shipped directly to you. Sell what you can, and just return what you don’t sell. E-mail me if you are interested!
