I have always wanted to go on a daring undercover ninja mission. I would travel under the cover of darkness, dressed from head to toe in black. I would parachute out of a helicopter and crawl to safety in a muddy ditch. If other ninjas tried to attack me, I would fight them off with my impressive skills I learned while training with Chuck Norris. After crawling over a fence and through a damp tunnel I would finally arrive at my destination.

However, while I am not technically a Ninja, I will be going “Ninja-Style” for the next month. In two days, my World Race will take me to a closed country in Southeast Asia. For the safety of our contact, we are not allowed to talk about where we are going (in fact I won’t even find out my specific location until I get off the train). There will be no communication (no internet … no phone calls) for the entire month. For the sake of ministry I will be completely off the grid.

Please be praying for my Squad/Team this month. Pray for safety, pray for God to speak through us to a generation of new believers, pray for money to continue pouring into our support accounts, pray for peace of mind in tough situations, pray for comfort for our families sitting in the States, pray for God to move in crazy ways (both is our lives and the lives of those we will be working with).

I am heading to a dark place, but I get joy from being part of God’s plan to spread light to the darkest corners of Southeast Asia. I look forward to re-connecting with all of you in November when I return to blogging.

Farewell from The Philippines…
