Day 139: I felt sick in the morning and was running a low fever so I stayed in bed until lunch. In the afternoon we went to a meeting with all the parents to talk about getting their kids help with school fees. Afterward we attend the youth forum. In the evening we took out Shannon and Kat’s weave.

Day 140: It was our day off, so we woke up early and took the bus 2 hours into Manzini. We went to the market for shopping and to a pizza parlor with free internet. On the street I passed by people selling grilled bugs to eat as snacks and on the way home I sat next to a mom who was breast-feeding most of the ride.

Day 141: Attended church in the morning (until after 2p). We met a family from Mississippi who is planning to move to Swaziland full-time in two years.

Day 142: Went to a care point to help with the feeding project. We also led several songs and games.

Day 143: We spent the day at the main care point. In the morning we hung out with the preschool aged kids (all of the older kids started school today). In the afternoon we had a meeting with the ministry partners to plan a program we are putting on at the care points next week.

Day 144: We travelled to 3 different care points. One had been robbed the week prior, so we also made a trip to the store so we could make a food delivery.

Day 145: We hung out with kids at the main care point the entire day. We helped with the feeding project, played with the kids, and I got invited into the preschool classroom.

Day 146: In the morning Maggie and I dug up weeds from around buildings at the main care point (this is to prevent snakes – who like the tall grass). In the afternoon we all attending the weekly youth forum.

Day 147: Shannon, Maggie and I took the bus north to go on Safari for the day. We saw giraffes, buffalos, rhinos, elephants, several different types of antelope, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and lots of birds. We also met a great couple from Seattle who we shared lunch with.

Day 148: We had “church” as a team at our cottage (by watching a Louie Giglio sermon on DVD). After lunch we went to get internet and I was able to call home for over an hour! On the way home we passed about 100 cows walking down the side of the road.

Day 149: We spent the morning at the main care-point. Memory (one of the little girls) fell asleep in my arms. In the afternoon we filmed our team video!

Day 150: Today we started profiling the care points. This is done to keep sponsors updated. Every child gets asked about 30 questions and they get their picture taken (that’s my job). We profiled over 75 kids today.

Day 151: Spent the entire day profiling almost 200 kids. Our team split up into two groups and went to different care points. A little boy stood at my side most of the day while I was taking photos.

Day 152: Today we profiled 125 kids at Joyela (one of my favorite care points). During our lunch break I snuck off to play with the kids that live across the street and Sara was sneaky and snapped a few pictures.

Day 153: Last day in Swaziland. This month I have become an expert on multitasking. Today I worked the entire morning with a baby strapped to my back. The work must have worn him out because he fell asleep pretty quickly. I spent the afternoon packing. Off to Romania tomorrow!
