This blog is somewhat of a sequel to my blog On Being Unforgivable

Last Saturday I went to the Winterjam Tour and it was an awesome concert. I knew at least one song from every band that played. Matthew West performed some songs and told the story behind them, which immediately engaged me. I love knowing what goes on behind the scenes. I was really digging the songs and then he played one I didn’t know. There was a video that played with it with pictures of those Hello, My Name Is stickers that had names like regret and defeat. It took me back to the blog I wrote where I used that same sticker to say I was unforgivable.
Matthew West changes that sticker to:
I was blown away and though to myself That’s the one I want to wear. That’s how I want to introduce myself.
So in reference to my previous blog, I’m no longer wearing Unforgivable. I let go of that name and the situation that was giving me a reason to put it back on. I saw the person a couple weeks after I wrote that blog and I never put it back on. In fact, had I known about this song by Matthew West I would have realized that I was wearing something more like the sticker above. I was overflowing with joy and felt radiant, like nothing could hold me down, which is how I feel when I sing this song. If you’re wearing a name tag other than the one above, get rid of it and put on your true name. You are a Child of the One True King.
