In 3 days, I graduate from college.
In 6 days, I say my final goodbyes and drive back to Illinois.
In 8 days, I embark on a road trip to Atlanta with four of my squadmates!
In 9 days, I’ll be at an Atlanta Braves game with about 30 of my squadmates.
In 10 days, I will be meeting my entire squad at training camp.
My last blog was about how sad I was about leaving Tulsa. There had been brief moments of excitement, but now it’s been flipped; there are brief moments of sadness, but mostly I’m ECSTATIC! Last night at house church, someone was praying and I was nearly exploding with joy about what is to come. It was my last night with them, but I wasn’t sad like I had been for the past few weeks. Every little thing is exciting to me now.
Everyday there is more exciting news. As I was sitting here writing this, our mobilizer just told us that 100% of R squad made the first deadline. We are ALL going to training camp! PTL! Yesterday our squad parents introduced themselves to us on our facebook group. (Shout out to Marcy and Bruce) They will be our coaches and travel over to Ireland with us and then drop back in for debriefs along the way. I’m so looking forward to getting to know them and the rest of my squad next week. I have no doubt that training camp is going to be hard in many ways, but I’m just going to live in the excitement right now instead of the fear.
