OUR LAST DAY???? WHAT??? NOO!!!
Let's just say that Nicaragua has been our favorite as a team so far!!! It just seems to be getting better and better eacho month We just got done making our last pancake breakfast here at our contact, Jamie's house (where it feels like home) and I just can't stop thinking about all the things we did, the people we have met, the laughs, cries; and here we are….it's coming to an end.
I just want to share with everyone the things we got to be apart of here. Are you Ready =)
Our first few days they asked us to shovel a HUGE mountain of dirt, cement, garbage into a hole. We were out in the sun all day and I thought I kept getting more tan until I realized I was just covered fully in dirt…
We went to a disabled kids' home "Los Pipitos" where I got to walk with this precious girl who couldn't walk on her own.
Once a month a dentist comes to give the kids flouride and teach them to brush their teeth at "Los Pipitos" because most kids don't
We got to see the most gorgeous sunsets everynight
TeamMates went to the Grand Canyon of Nicaragua, called Canyon de Somoto. Here we hiked, walked, swam, cliff jumping, boat ride. AMAZING ADVENTURE
Some of us went on a bike ride in Granada and got to swim in this amazing lagoon that was so clear we could see the bottom, it felt like a hottub. It is a crater from a volcanoe and in the middle goes as deep as 800 feet.
We walked around town hanging up flyers on peoples' walls and in the little tiendas (stores). We used a white glue with a paintbrush to paste them.
Youthgroup!! TeamMates got to hangout, lead games, teach English songs, learn Spanish songs, answer questions about being missionaries, etc..This made me miss being a younglife leader so much and how I absolutely love youth kids (middle school/highschool)
We hung up banners and passed out flyers evangelizing to people in the town about the huge Crusade that we had at the end of the month
Walking to houses in nearby villages to give bags of food/pray for people
Beginning to our Thanksgiving. Bought the turkey, got it drunk, killed it, cooked it, ate it. Best turkey ever.
We made 100 huge bags of food to give out to families all over the village!
Preparing Thanksgiving dinner! One of the days I couldn't contain myself with laughter.
Thanksgiving with my family away from home. =)
Praying for a man on the side of the street for healing in his body.

Cutting hair for 3 hours straight for School kids in a nearby tiny village!

2,000 people made it to a tiny village for the outdoor crusade we had here in Palacaguina. AMAZING!!!!!!!

OUR FAMILY with JAIME (our contact)! Love them all!

Here is a taste of some of the things we have done. Nicaragua, you will be missed!!!!!!
