I’m grateful to have a few minutes to update you all on the happenings of the last month. Currently, I am in Johannesburg, South Africa working at a children’s home with 0-4 year olds (40 of them). My clothes are covered in baby food, diaper “blech”, spit up and anything else you can imagine….it’s all there. The work is hard, but rewarding, and the kids are worth the effort. At this point, there are about two weeks left in my service here. I’ll post pictures as soon as possible.
After leaving my current post, I’ll spend a week in Cape Town, South Africa for a final debrief with my squad. Then I’ll say goodbye to people I’ve grown to love like brothers and sisters and wish them well in their next adventure. I will also be setting up some visits with old friends and new ones for when we arrive back in the States. My World Race is almost over…..believe it or not.
Finally, I want to tell you all that I am officially serving in Ireland from the end of June until beginning of August. The cost will be $2,500 for flights, transportation, food, lodging, health insurance and administrative fees. I have to raise ALL of it before I can book my flight. If you can help send me, please do. The sooner I am able to book my flight, the cheaper it will be.
Thank you for all your support along this wild ride called the World Race. I can’t wait to see many of you back in the States and see the adventurous plans God has for my life after the Race. I couldn’t have done it without you!
