I have officially landed in Thailand. I left Haiti a week ago today, took a bus 10 hours to Santa Domingo, DR, flew to Miami, FL, ran literally through the airport to catch a flight to Las Angeles, CA, waited in L.A. 12 hours to catch a 1 am flight to Hong Kong, it took 14 hours to get there from L.A., waited 2 hours in Hong Kong for my flight to Bancock, another 2 hour flight, then took public transportation, i.e. a pickup truck with benches in the back, to the bus station where there was another 5 hour wait to catch a bus and ride 12 hours on a bus, then another half hour in the back of a truck to my current location. That’s 5 countries in 4 days, crazy, exhausting travel, but I made it and it was worth it.

I am not in Chiang Mia like I originally said, I am in a rural area working on a farm, literally clearing the jungle with machedies, rakes and hand saws, weeding this massive garden and camping in a mango orchard. There are other parts of the ministry I am working with that I can not disclose for their protection nor can I tell you where exactly it is that I am. What I can tell you is its an amazing organization that is helping children, my host are so gracious, I have the opportunity to experience the culture here, to form relationships with many and to provide manual labor for a great  cause.

Its so beautiful here, once again I am in a mountainous area, the fruit is freshly picked, the flowers are so gorgeous. I am surrounded by palm and fruit trees the weather is hot but cools down enough to sleep comfortably at night. The food is seriously so amazing, I love American Thai food, but Thai food in Thailand is not even comparable, I wish I could send some home just so you all could experience the daily deliciousness of my current life.

Thankfully ALL the sickness that plagued myself and my team in Haiti is gone. It feels lighter in Thailand, though Christianity is rare here its much more peaceful to be in a country that doesn’t straight up worship Satan like those in Haiti, Its exhausting to be in warfare day and night with darkness the way it was there.

I haven’t really had time to relax or process everything. I got here and started ministry without much rest and  my days are packed full, I have been struggling here its hard being this exhausted  every day, prayers for supernatural strength, energy and positive additude are needed, also please pray for my team of girls who are struggling with things as well. Its so good how each of us are growing in character and gifting and dealing with things we have surpressed and becoming aware of who God made us to be more and more. In that growth it’s a struggle to always except the brokenness and to choose the right thing, it’s a struggle to always choose grace, to not be selfish, or to understand one another. I am around the same 5 girls every day, 24 hours 7 days a week and have been for going on 3 months. We  are like sisters now, we call each other out on the hard things, get annoyed and irritated by one another, but love and protect one another as well.

I will never be the same, my worldview has shifted, my perspective on what is important has changed, my struggles have changed, anything I thought was hard before seems easy, comfort is a luxury, people are so important, character is so important, loving the unlovable and forgotten is so important, seeing Gods heart and being more like Jesus is so hard and so beautiful and so worth it. I am so thankful for this organization, that I am here in Thailand changing my life and making a difference in the world. I want to continue and still need $3000.00 by December 1st, prayers and donations are welcome. sending my love home.
