Life always has a way of bringing us to a place where we need to change direction, refocus, walk a new path, start over, or begin again.
Make A Fresh Start!
This is how I felt going into my 7th month (Serbia) on the race!

In the Bible (Genesis – the beginning of great) Abram found himself in that very place with his nephew Lot. Lot chose the best land in the area for himself. This left Abram with the lesser of the land. Abram and Lot parted ways.
I can feel Abram's disappointment. I see him hopelessly staring down at the ground. Thinking and asking "What can I do with or make of this pathetic land?" This is the point of a fresh start and a new beginning. God Himself will bring us to this point occasionally. God didn't abandon Abram. Instead He showed up and gave Abram a new vision an incredible BIG PICTURE! Saying ….. "Lift your eyes now and look from the place you are." Genesis 13:14
I LOVE these words … So powerful … Gives me chills to read this .. And moves me to tears!!!! Especially when I find myself standing in disappointment and staring out and questioning "Why and What now?" I can hear God saying this to me. I can feel his hand reach for my chin and tip my head upward. Then he says in a loving tone … "Lift your head from this place, Look forward I have so much more than this for you" and maybe then I also hear the song from the Disney movie "Aladdin" … (Video Below)

BIG SIGH … Okay back to what I was saying before God got all romantic on me 😛

You might be at this turning point right now?
Maybe you want to break a bad habit or revive a lost dream. Maybe you want to get a handle on your finances, start your own business, write a book, whatever it is, God could be telling you to GET STARTED RIGHT NOW! This could be your new beginning!
When I look back over the peaks and valleys of my life I see how after every deep disappointment came a miraculous new path and accomplishment. After so many (usually me making the same mistakes over again) I'm bouncing back so much quicker and actually get excited when things don't go MY way. My trust in God has become so strong. Yes, I cry and feel sad. It's normal and healthy to grieve for a short while. However as my relationship with God strengthens and I push through the hurricanes with Him. I've learned to also get excited for the rainbow ahead. (I'm also praying I've learned to stick with His plan, no more mistakes)
After God told Abram to look from that place, the next thing He told him was, 'Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you' (Genesis 13:17) God reminded me of some of His radical plans as I stayed quiet and hauled firewood for several hours (here in Serbia) the other day.

He gave me a beautiful detailed vision for my future. He is now asking even more than ever before. I'm scared honored, and inspired! It was just what I needed to empower my life (His plan) God could be telling you right now to get up and get on with your dream or vision, your assignment, your life, because He is giving it to you. Your part is to walk it out. (My part is jumping on to His magic carpet… It is awesome being me!!! :P)
Do what you need to do. It may not be easy. It might take some time. But trust God and go for whatever it is. Look from the place where you are right now – and GO!!!!!
Dear God, regardless of what's happened in the past, help me to look up from where I am now. I thank You for Your new beginning for me. I will boldly step into it and walk out Your calling for me!!!
