After about 6 hours a day for 7 days, I have completed 25 curtain panels! It feels good to accomplish a project. I would like to give credit to Natalie who is the one who really knew what she was doing and started out being the seamstress.  Without her, I would not have known the best way to go about making curtains without a pattern or much instruction.  Natalie, however, left the sewing world and moved on to her first love…watching and playing with kids.  I would also like to thank Anna from Indelible, who helped me measure, cut, and iron the fabric. It definitely helped to speed the process up.

Sometimes it might be hard to see how something as mundane as sewing curtains can be a ministry.  I wondered that myself, but was assured by the staff at New Life Fellowship that it was a huge blessing to have someone be able to do that for them.  They have been wanting to get them done for quite awhile and have the ability to do it themselves, but have difficulty finding the time.  I was more than happy to help them do this simple task so that they could be free to continue to pour their time and effort into the people and ministries here.

Beside being a blessing to them, it has been a blessing for me.  This project gave me a lot of quiet time to think and pray and just be by myself for awhile.  As an introvert who craves personal time, this last week was wonderful!
