At the end of every two months, all 8 teams of the January 09 world race squad meet together for a few days and debrief what happened over the last months and just hang out and worship God together.  This time we met in South Africa at a place called, “Immanuel Prayer Mountain.”  The weather here in South Africa is considerably colder than anything

we’ve
been used to this year.  It felt like some nice cool, fall days, though at times I
was freezing (like the time I woke up too early to watch the sunrise and the ground was covered in frost!)  I enjoyed laying in the sun and reading my Bible or just thinking
for hours.  I also had the opportunity to take a nice long walk down a country road by
myself
.  It reminded me of home!  As a squad we played many rounds of cornhole, a little volleyball, and an intense game some of our guys made up called, soccer/volleyball (pretty much sounds like what it is…a mix of volleyball and soccer, played with a soccer ball) to relax and have some fun.  We also had the

opportunity to worship together, study the Bible, and hear testimonies from the last month of ministry.  It was a great time of bonding and spiritual renewal!
